How does each app handle LH ovulation tests?
Premom is the one whose listing describes reading the strip for you. Its App Store listing says it scans ovulation tests to quantify LH levels, and its site calls it a "digital ovulation test reader."[1][2] Flo's listing says you can log LH and ovulation test results, which means you enter what you see.[4] Glow's listing does not mention LH test logging.[5]
Premom
Premom is made by Easy Healthcare Corporation and has a 4.8 rating across about 60K ratings.[1] Its site describes "automatic ovulation test readings" and "smart ovulation and BBT charting," without listing which strips work.[2] Its privacy label lists "Photos or Videos" among data linked to you, which is worth a look since strip photos are the core feature.[1] We compare it head to head with Flo in Premom vs Flo, and Premom alternatives covers other options.
Glow
Glow is built around ovulation and TTC, with a listing that predicts the fertile window and ovulation day and describes a large user community.[5] It has a 4.7 rating across about 75K ratings.[5] Its listing names cervical mucus and BBT as fertility signs, and our guide to apps that track cervical mucus covers that side in more depth.
Flo
Flo is a general cycle app with about 2 million ratings at 4.7 stars.[4] Its listing says you can log LH and ovulation test results and basal body temperature, and that fertile-window predictions are based on your logged period data.[4] You read the strip yourself and type in the result, as you would with most trackers. See Flo vs Glow for the head-to-head.

Do Premom, Glow, and Flo support BBT?
All three do. Premom's listing describes a smart BBT thermometer that auto-syncs and charts temperatures and exchanges temperature data with Apple Health.[1] Glow's listing includes BBT with an advanced chart in Premium.[5] Flo's lists basal body temperature logging.[4]
BBT confirms ovulation after it has happened and does not predict it. One study of 53 women across 150 cycles found ovulation occurred one to two days after the serum LH surge, which is why strip users watch for the surge before the temperature shift.[10] Our best ovulation tracker app and best fertility tracking app guides compare more tools that combine the signals.
How does each app find your fertile window?
Premom, Glow, and Flo all describe a fertile window, and none of them publishes its method on the pages we checked. Flo's listing says predictions are based on logged period data.[4] Glow's says it predicts the fertile window and ovulation day.[5] Premom's site lists "tracking your hormones and fertile window" without describing how.[2]
The window itself is short. A study of 221 women found conception was only possible in the six days ending on the day of ovulation.[9] That is why an LH reading, which Premom scans and Flo and Veya let you enter, can narrow a calendar guess. The ovulation calculator shows the calendar-only version of the estimate.
What does each app cost in October 2026?
All three are free to download with in-app purchases. Premom's listing shows Premium purchases from $12.99 to $37.99 and does not say which is which, and it lists a separate $23.49 subscription.[1] Glow Premium is $59.99 a year after a 7-day free trial on its site.[6] Flo Premium is listed at $47.99 and $59.99, without billing-period labels.[4]
Free scope differs too. Premom's listing describes LH scanning as a core feature, and the listing does not separate free from paid features.[1] Glow's site does not itemize its free features, and Flo's listing puts Secret Chats in Premium.[6][4]
What happens when you get a positive pregnancy test?
Premom and Flo both switch modes inside the same app. Premom's listing describes a Pregnancy Mode with due date calculation and weekly tips.[1] Flo's describes a Pregnancy Mode to use after conception, with checklists and weekly updates.[4] Glow takes a different route: its site lists a separate Pregnancy Tracker with due-date calculation and a baby registry, plus a Baby Tracker.[6]
What are the privacy records for Premom, Glow, and Flo?
All three have a documented regulator history: a proposed FTC order against Premom's developer in 2023, a final FTC order against Flo Health in 2021, and California's 2020 settlement with Glow. Here are the dated facts and what each app says today, so read each policy before you log health data.
Premom. The FTC announced a proposed order against Easy Healthcare Corporation on May 17, 2023. It alleged Premom shared health data with AppsFlyer and Google, and shared other data with two China-based firms, Umeng and Jiguang, without telling users. It carried a $100,000 civil penalty, with a further $100,000 to Connecticut, the District of Columbia, and Oregon, and a permanent ban on sharing health data for advertising.[3]
Flo. The FTC finalized an order against Flo Health on June 22, 2021 after alleging it shared sensitive health data with third parties despite privacy promises.[11] Flo's listing describes an Anonymous Mode.[4] Our Flo vs Clue vs Glow page covers the class action and jury verdict in detail.
Glow. California's Attorney General settled with Glow, Inc. in September 2020 for a $250,000 civil penalty.[12] Glow's policy, effective October 12, 2026, says "We do not sell or share health information from our users," and describes an Offline Data Protection option that keeps key health data on your device.[7]
Where does Veya fit?
Veya logs LH results you enter yourself and does not scan a strip photo, so it lacks the one feature that sets Premom apart. You can log a strip result or a urine LH number, and Veya can import Mira and Inito readings from a chart screenshot (see the import guide). Pro is listed at $49.99 a year.[8] Veya is iOS only with a web app, has no community, and is a newer app with less history than any of the other three.[8]
Which app should you choose?
Choose Premom if you test with strips daily:
- You want the app to read and quantify the strip
- You've read the 2023 FTC order and Premom's current privacy policy
Choose Glow if TTC and community lead:
- You want fertility charting with BBT and a large user community
- You like separate pregnancy and baby apps for later
Choose Flo if ovulation is one part of a bigger picture:
- You want LH and BBT logging inside a broad cycle app
- You like having Anonymous Mode and a pregnancy mode in one app
Choose Veya if you want LH results beside sleep, mood, and nutrition:
- You're fine entering your own result
- You use an iPhone and don't need a community
